The MuNet e-Government Program was implemented in the Municipality of San Miguelito during the administration of Alcalde Oscar Daniel Posadas. The implementation of the Program in La Esperanza was expected to take place, however due to a lack of consolidation of a MuNet working team, Municipality of La Esperanza withdrew from the program.

The Mayor of San Miguelito was the Manager for the MuNet team in the Municipality. With the collaboration of a consultant from the capital of Honduras, MuniPortal began to execute and little progress was achieved.

Due to infraestructure difficulties, the communication with this municipality was interrupted during the transfer of the technology package.
