Welcome to the web page of the Inter-American Committee on Education, a virtual space that was specifically created for the Committee's use by its Technical Secretariat, the Department of Education and Culture.
The main objective of the Inter-American Committee on Education's (CIE) is to promote Inter-American dialogue in the field of education.
The CIE provides follow-up on the mandates of the Summits of the Americas as well as those accords reached in the Meetings of Ministers of Education. In addition, it seeks to identify; implement and promote multilateral initiatives to share knowledge and build capacity in the member states.
In these pages you will find information regarding:
• Mandates that the CIE has received;
• Documentation of CIE meetings , including decisions made;
• Projects carried out under the auspices of the CIE;
• Thematic areas in which CIE works;
• A Virtual Forum that the Secretariat has put at the disposal of member states to maintain a fluid and permanent dialogue;
