Popularization of Science & Technology

 

 

Societies based on scientific and technological knowledge have achieved higher levels of development and better quality of life. Thereby the importance of structuring programs that help the popularization of science and technology in all the sectors and at all levels. The generalized access to the sources of scientific and technological information is of great importance in order for the populations to not only see the importance of continuing development in these areas, but to entitle and utilize the knowledge and the benefits.
 
To achieve the objective of the popularization of science, technology and innovation, it is necessary disseminate and promote information through fairs, contests, exhibitions, museum, etc. Also, it is necessary to have support from specialists to communicate scientific and technological information effectively to the society at different levels, specialists like scientific journalists, teachers and the community of national experts in science and technology.
 
The freedom of press and the independence of journalists facilitate the democratic processes showing advantages and disadvantages of the application of science. In this sense, the critic of science is essential to favor better governance in our nations. The entitlement of science finds its real meaning in democracies that present great participation of its well informed citizens giving transparency to the decision making processes.
