MuNet e-Government was implemented in the Municipality of Patzún during the administration of Mayor Guadalupe Cojtí Xulú and in the Municipality of Guatemala City which later transffered the Municipalitie´s administration to the Municipality of Villa Nueva.

 

MuNet in Municipality of Patzún

 

During the begining of the implementation process, the coordinator of MuNet Patzún was Elmer Neftali and later Jorge López Bachiller took over. The MuNet team of Patzún counted with the cooperation of MuNet team in Chaclacayo, specially for the adoption of MuniPortal and counted too with the collaboration of MuNet VillaNueva for the adoption of Information and Communication technologies (ICTs) and public security.

Before MuNet e-Government, Patzún counted with a static website that was updated twice per month. Today, with the adoption of MuniPortal, they have a bilingual website in both Spanish and Kakchiquel (native language of Guatemala) that can be updated any time.

Today, Patzún continues to work to reduce the digital gap and the use of ITCs for education, security and health purposes. Their Website´s URL is http://www.patzun.gob.gt

 

MuNet in the Municipality of Guatemala City / Villanueva

 

 

During the implementation of MuNet in Guatemala City, the MuNet Manager was Patricia Letona de Días. This municipality transffered their administration to Municipality of Villanueva and so did the MuNet team. Under this new administration, the MuNet team counted with the coordination of Regina Román.

Municipality of Villanueva counted too with the cooperation from Municipality of Patzún in the use and implementation of MuniPortal and the creation in the Website of a section for the Youth of Villanueva.
