FEMCIDI is the OAS Fund for Technical Cooperation
In 1997, the member countries of the Organization of American States established the Special Multilateral Fund of the Inter-American Council for Integral Development (FEMCIDI). Through this Fund, the OAS seeks to generate a space for national, multinational and horizontal cooperation that contributes to the improvement of living conditions for all the people of the Western Hemisphere.
FEMCIDI receives annual contributions by the member countries of the OAS. Its purpose is to administrate resources by financing a great diversity of projects. It is important to emphasize that all countries unite in order to define the priority areas in which we should work. We continue to follow their mandates and we develop the projects using as our guide the areas that have been previously defined by the governments of OAS member states.
